Responsible tourism is the way forward for the industry. Travelers are increasingly aware that their choice of tours, restaurants and accommodations make a difference for their hosts as well as their overall travel experience. This means there is an unique opportunity for local communities to become involved in tourism and make a positive impact on their own lives as well as on that of their guests.
Khiri Reach is the not-for-profit division of the Khiri Travel Group. The group realizes that having a network of offices and staff throughout Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam can be used for supporting projects. This way, funds and goods donated, as well as technical support to the projects can be given without any overhead costs.
To set the right example, the travel group supports all projects and is often the initiative taker and contributes funds and expertise to new projects. This is a win-win situation for all travel companies, small and large, to follow: it makes for attractive and innovative itineraries that attract an increasingly large part of the market.
Support for our projects is always needed. Please contact us if you would like to contribute, have ideas or can offer assistance.
Responsible Tourism changes lives WTM World Responsible Tourism Day, the only global day of action of its kind, is being supported by the UNWTO and leading industry associations. The day is vital - for business, for profitability and for our planet. It means taking care of a world that we seek to promote, preserving our heritage and cultures and taking into account the views and needs of local communities.
